About us

DanceConnected (DC) is a newly transformed artistic association working in the field of contemporary dance. Under the original name ImproEvents Prague, it was founded in 2017 with the main mission of theoretical and practical research in the field of dance and the promotion of education in this artistic sector. Since the change of leadership at the end of 2023, the activities of the association have focused on artistic creation, its development and deepening the connection of the Czech Republic with the international dance scene in close collaboration with artists and on bringing dance closer to society. The association, which currently has 4 members, is a platform for connecting artists, companies, dance professionals across Europe, initiating new dance projects, helping to popularize contemporary dance and at the same time implementing dance in the social life of different groups of people. As a de facto emerging entity, DC aims to take advantage of the team members' rich experience in the field of dance and become a partner in socially beneficial European cultural projects. DC aims to become part of European dance and education networks and to contribute to building a sustainable future for dance and performing arts through its activities.
