Culture station Galaxie

The Dancing in the Galaxy project is one of our key initiatives for the next 2 years. DanceConnected becomes part of the initiative to transform the former Galaxie multiplex in South Town into a vibrant arts hub. This temporary multidisciplinary space brings together dance, theatre and other artistic disciplines, with the aim of creating conditions for the creation, development and presentation of dance projects that are tailored to the specific possibilities of the site. But Galaxie is more than just a space - it is a platform for collaboration, dialogue and encounters between artists, professionals, amateurs and the general public.

In collaboration with our partners - Dejvice Theatre, Theatre Minor, DAMU and the 4+4 Days in Motion Festival, we want to bring a diverse programme of dance performances, artist residencies, workshops, discussions and community events to Galaxie. Our main aim is to revitalise the venue, encourage creativity, seek new opportunities to collaborate with Galaxie partners and most importantly bring dance and theatre to the local South Town community and wider audiences
